Apple today will roll out its Bluetooth-powered iBeacon tracking technology in its 254 U.S. stores, which will allow iOS 7 users to download applications to receive messages about discounts, products and other information based on their location in an Apple store. Major League Baseball also has plans of deploying iBeacon in ballparks in 2014 with an app that would notify fans of discounts at nearby souvenir stands or inform them about a nearby landmark.
