Appsfire has announced plans to drop its application discovery services in order to focus on mobile native advertising pursuits despite 12 million downloads in iOS and Android marketplaces. Existing Appsfire users will still have access to their apps, but the service will not be an option for new users. "We may bring them back at a later stage ... but we just can't ride two horses at the same time and our apps have slowly become secondary to us," Appsfire CEO Ouriel Ohayon says.
