The Chemical Facility Safety and Security Working Group, established in the wake of the Texas fertilizer plant accident, has made substantial progress and plans to issue a draft plan early next year, according to a progress report. The group is "assessing methods that Federal and State agencies can use to identify chemical facilities that have not met their regulatory obligation," the report said. It is also considering tightening chemical regulations and revising the Department of Homeland Security's "chemicals of interest" list.
