Chinese authorities have arrested more than 1,300 people, seized fake drugs along with drug ingredients worth more than $360 million and closed 140 illegal websites and online pharmacies as part of a nationwide campaign against counterfeit drugs, government news agency Xinhua reported. China's top law enforcement officer said in March that prosecutions for toxic foods and fake drugs were five times the number in 2012 that they were in 2011.
