New York City is in the midst of a boom for small distilleries including Kings County Distillery, the city's first legal whiskey distillery in more than 80 years. The city is returning to its roots with the Brooklyn Navy Yard serving again as a distillery district. Gov. Andrew Cuomo has pledged $1 million to help the craft industry, and 19 more liquor manufacturers have opened their doors since Kings County started its run.
