A new document from SCAI and three other medical societies establishes a set of quality and performance measures for elective PCI in inpatient and ambulatory settings and identifies areas where more data are needed. "Through these measures, we have moved beyond simple measurement of a few treatments to incorporating key concepts like appropriateness,” said writing committee member Dr. Brahmajee K. Nallamothu of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
