The amount of health care costs paid by workers instead of employers has jumped from $2,011 in 2004 to a projected $4,969 next year, according to an Aon Hewitt survey. The trend is expected to increase as more provisions of the Affordable Care Act take effect, according to experts. "Employers are increasing the cost to employees faster than they are picking up the extra," said Jack Findley of Aon Hewitt.
