The final Thomson Reuters/University of Michigan index for the month registered a surprisingly strong 75.1, up from a preliminary reading of 72 and October's 73.2. The Bloomberg Consumer Comfort Index for the period ending Nov. 24 came in at minus 33.7, the highest figure in seven weeks.
