Henry Ford Community College in Michigan is offering two new engineering courses for dual-enrollment high school students, to be taught by teachers who recently completed training based on Project Lead the Way, which seeks to prepare high school students for careers in science, technology, engineering and math. The new classes are Introduction to Engineering Design and Principles of Engineering. College representatives say they hope to have six more Project the Lead the Way courses in a variety of STEM fields, including aerospace and civil engineering, by the fall.
