Developer David Imboden says construction of a large mixed-use waterfront project in Dayton, Ky., will begin in January. The Manhattan Harbour project has been eight years in the making; the sewer has been upgraded and fill brought in to keep the site out of the flood plain. But, instead of being the original $1 billion project, Imboden has pared it down to $400 million. The development will include "1,277 residential units, a mix of apartments, condos and single-family homes, nearly 80,000 square feet of commercial space and more than 29 acres of green space."
