Private pilot Gerry Rosen's love of flying inspired him to share it with others. He teamed up with Joe Ricci to open Pilgrim Aviation at Plymouth Municipal Airport in Massachusetts. The flight school opened in April, and seven of its new students were paraplegics who were given free lessons in a specially-equipped Cherokee 140. "The purpose of those flights really was to do research in how we could broaden out the program to include more paraplegic people," said Rosen.
