Petrochemical producers in Texas are expected to increase capacity by 33% by 2017 as the sector benefits from cheap natural gas liquids from the Eagle Ford Shale, a study by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas finds. "This is an industry that was on the opposite trajectory prior to the shale revolution. We're now seeing them bringing production back to the United States after shifting it overseas," said Dallas Fed economist Jesse Thompson.
