Bullying in academia can have adverse effects on nursing professors, according to a study in the journal Nurse Educator. "What worries me is the impact that bullying is having on the ability to recruit and retain quality educators. It has become a disturbing trend," said Janice Beitz, a professor at Rutgers School of Nursing-Camden and study co-author. Researchers interviewed 16 nursing professors.
