A group of winemakers in Santa Barbara County, Calif., is taking on a challenge to raise funds for the local food bank. Leslie Mead Renaud, who directs winemaking at Lincourt Vineyards and Foley Estates Vineyard and Winery, organized the program in hopes of raising $100,000. Renaud is trying to hit that goal by Jan. 6 -- with 206 wineries in the county, she could double her goal if each generated $1,000 in donations, this article says.
