Scientists at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research in Germany are working on a project that aims to enhance impact models, which detect changes in the atmosphere and oceans and their effects on flooding and other weather-related events. The models are "the second step after the climate models, and it's a relevant step for what climate change means for humans," said Katja Frieler of the Potsdam Institute.
