Weinstein Co., under a long-term pact with Miramax, the company launched by Bob and Harvey Weinstein in 1979, will produce TV series, movies and theatrical shows based on the Miramax library. The agreement, which gives the Weinsteins access to around 750 Miramax titles, is part of an increased push into TV production. The Weinsteins left Miramax in 2005, when it was owned by Walt Disney Co., and forged the new deal with the current private-equity ownership.
