From the science of cooking to underwater robotics, students at Preston Middle School in Fort Collins, Colo., have access to various learning opportunities in science, technology, engineering and math. The STEM programs at the school are not an anomaly in the state, as more schools have adopted lessons that include one or more of these disciplines. "It's just an enhancement across the board," principal Scott Nielsen said of the middle school's program. "It's really become about thinking, the nature of thinking," he said.
