Patients who took the antiepileptic drugs gabapentin, levetiracetam or topiramate were more likely to develop aseptic meningitis than those who used lamotrigine, according to a study of more than 719,000 people ages 2 and up. Among the drugs, levetiracetam had the highest hazard ratio. The findings were presented at the annual meeting of the American Epilepsy Society.
