Tesla's success in the U.S. electric-vehicles market is attracting Chinese competitors, with two Chinese firms vying for control of California-based EV-maker Fisker, and Chinese automaker BYD planning to start selling electric vehicles in America this year. Still, Tesla could benefit from "American xenophobia and irrational China-bashing," which will make it hard for Chinese firms to find a foothold, The Economist argues.
