Students in other countries are outperforming the U.S. in education, in part, because their policies prioritize students' academic achievement, Secretary of Education Arne Duncan said Monday to an audience of parent leaders. At the event hosted by the National Assessment Governing Board, Duncan also said the country as a whole must raise expectations for students and teachers, and told parents, educators and policymakers to "walk the walk" of improving education.
