The Hershey Co. is introducing a line of chocolate spreads, including a hazelnut version that is similar to Ferrero's Nutella, which has seen sales more than triple in the U.S. in the last five years to $240.4 million, according to Euromonitor. Hershey will begin airing TV ads on Monday for the products that the company encourages consumers to spread on graham crackers, fruits, vegetables and even pickles. "People are seeing the permission to try it on carrots and try it on celery," said Hershey spokeswoman Anna Lingeris.
