Johor is positioning itself to become Malaysia's "chocolate state" and boasts 85% of the country's 300,000 metric ton cocoa grinding capacity. The beginning of the process is Hershey's new plant in Senai, Johor Baru, which is expected to completed in 2015. Another international chocolate company also is rumored to be opening a facility in the region.
