The city of Phoenix has been declared by the White House as the first in the nation to provide housing for all chronically homeless veterans. Currently, 187 veterans in the city are receiving support in permanent apartments across the area, according to The Arizona Republic. "We know that more people are going to come back from the current conflicts and they're going to have many of the same challenges, and may end up homeless. We're in it for the long run. We're not naive," said Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton.
