Among 11- to 18-year-olds treated for moderate to severe anorexia nervosa in Germany, day-patient care was not inferior to inpatient treatment, according to a study published on the website of The Lancet. Both patient groups showed improvements in weight a year after their treatment, but those who participated in the day-patient intervention had better mental health scores, researchers said.
