Consumers prefer and have higher brand recall of home page ads that take over their entire screen, according to a study by Ipsos ASI for Undertone. Takeover ads received scores between 30% and 49% higher on "likability" than standard display units. "Great advertising means great creative, and takeovers help that creative break through very effectively," said Eric Franchi, co-founder of Undertone.
