GoldieBlox, a toy that encourages girls to explore engineering with blocks, wheels, cranks and other parts, will get its 30 seconds in the limelight with a Super Bowl commercial this Sunday. The business, launched by Debbie Sterling who trained as an engineer at Stanford University, won the ad time as a grand prize in a small-business competition set up by software maker Intuit.
