The Department of Homeland Security has decided to relax restrictions on releasing information from background checks for the Transportation Security Administration's PreCheck program. "DHS will consider requests on a case-by-case basis, and in certain instances may waive applicable exemptions and release material that otherwise would be withheld," according to a final rule published Thursday. TSA also plans to provide applicants more leeway to correct inaccurate information causing them to be denied for PreCheck.
