Staff at St. John Medical Center in Washington state can now easily consult with Oregon Health & Science University neonatologists after adopting OHSU's Telemedicine Network. The network uses a robot, which has two high-definition cameras, to enable OHSU specialists to carefully examine infant patients at the hospital, as well as read their X-rays and scans. In addition, a stethoscope can be attached to the robot to allow doctors to monitor a patient's vital signs.
