The innovative Aqualeg, which drains water from vents in the ankle, was developed in France and is now being distributed in this country through its U.S. headquarters in Rock Hill, S.C. Along with vents, the soft, natural-looking Aqualeg is made of several layers of silicone and elastic fabric and comes in a variety of skin colors. The French company has also partnered with a Rock Hill patient-care facility, the Prosthetic & Orthotic Institute, to fit the Aqualeg on patients.
