Two recent Procter & Gamble advertisements from Wieden+Kennedy -- one for the corporate brand and one for P&G's Old Spice -- are vastly different in tone, but share a common focus on moms. While the corporate ad shows moms raising Olympic stars, the Old Spice spot showing mothers stalking their sons has gained more attention -- starting more than 260,000 social media conversations, according to Infegy. "This is two different takes on the same insight -- that our mom is our greatest fan, whether she's raising an Olympian or an Old Spice guy," said P&G spokesman Paul Fox.
