Gran Estacion, a retail center in Bogota, Colombia, owned by Inversiones y Construcciones 79, has made it its mission to hire people with disabilities, and as a result about half of its workforce is in wheelchairs or is hearing- or sight-impaired. The son of one of the center's owners is a quadriplegic, which inspired the idea. The company has expanded this policy to another center it owns and will put it into effect at a retail center it is opening in Cali, Colombia, in 2015.
