Box, Cotap and Insightly are among those providing limited access as a way of staying competitive as a wider variety of software and services become available and cloud services gain popularity. "Essentially, business freemium unlocks markets that are global in scale, and they're far more capital efficient," said Matt Holleran, founder and managing director of Cloud Apps Management.
