Bilateral leg amputee Troy Cronin, 17, a Northampton, Mass., high-school student, is receiving a special pair of high-tech running prostheses from Amputee Blade Runners. One prosthetic leg features a remote-control-operated vacuum seal to ensure fit; Cronin's other leg requires only a gel sleeve. "It will be a lot more comfortable than the legs I have now," Cronin said. "I won't be running on my heels, and the running legs will use my energy more and create bounce."
