Small firms might be able to access billions of dollars in new business opportunities under a House bill that would attempt to reserve 25% of federal contracts for them. That's an increase from the 23% goal that is currently in place. The move would "make it easier for small businesses to enter this marketplace and compete for contracts," said Rep. Sam Graves, R-Mo., who heads the House Small Business Committee and introduced the measure.
