Indoor GPS technology, which allows advertisers to target customers down to a particular aisle, "will finally make the return on mobile advertising measurable," writes Ryan Caldbeck. Indoor mapping provides marketing insights at physical locations similar to what the online campaigns do for digital storefronts. Though there is some concern over consumer privacy, Caldbeck writes, "this technology presents new opportunities for businesses to market themselves with a new efficiency."
