Data from the National Electronic Injury Surveillance System showed that inflatable bounce equipment accounted for 42% of 13,770 amusement ride injuries in the U.S. in 2010, while 20% of injuries were from roller coasters. More than 50% of injuries caused by inflatable devices involved people younger than 15 years, according to the study in the journal Safety Science.
