Golden Seeds, a firm that invests in companies with at least one woman on their leadership teams, has invested more than $60 million so far. "Our entire investment thesis rests on the extensive research that concludes that gender-diverse teams produce better returns on equity," explained Jo Ann Corkran, an entrepreneur, investor and partner at the fund. As the Golden Seeds companies grow, the women who lead them are getting more experience with serving on boards, she noted.
