Lehman Brothers Holdings will pay Freddie Mac $767 million under a settlement reached over a $1.2 billion claim. The settlement, which stems from loans Freddie Mac extended to Lehman, frees up money that can be distributed to creditors of the failed bank. The loans were due Sept. 15, 2008, the day Lehman filed for bankruptcy.
