Tenth-graders in Michigan's Meridian Early College High School recently participated in a workshop meant to spread awareness of diversity while encouraging conflict resolution without violence. The program includes teachers and members of the Nonviolent Peaceforce Midland Chapter and guest speakers. "We want to teach them these skills so that they don't repeat the past problems of history, and so they can be part of the solution. We want to keep students current on the best tools for conflict resolution," said Joseph Ribarchik, a world studies facilitator at the school.
