Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder is taking steps to bolster career and technical education in the state's schools. The governor is requesting $250,000 to study how K-12 and postsecondary students join the workforce, and seeking additional funding for career- and technical-education courses. "One of the things we're missing is, we're not emphasizing career and technical education enough in our state," he said.
