A Nevada school district will convert 10 campuses to year-round schedules to help relieve overcrowding -- a move expected to cost $3.08 million more annually. Officials say year-round scheduling, in which students are placed on different tracks, will allow schools to accommodate about 20% more students. However, officials agree that year-round schedules and boundary changes are only short-term fixes.
