The Cape May, N.J., City Council likely will discuss a proposal next week to limit large events at houses to curb disputes among neighbors. The ordinance targets "event houses," which are rented out for special occasions, such as weddings or conferences. The proposal would require licensing of such homes and would establish an occupancy limit. A March 18 vote is scheduled, with the ordinance implemented 20 days after.
