Retailers and manufacturers are revamping the way they deliver food purchases in the digital age, with programs such as Tesco's Homeplus giving South Korea's busy consumers the ability to scan their orders from smartphones while waiting for trains, SCM World's Kevin O'Marah writes. Companies are expanding SKU portfolios, changing distribution networks and reaching out more directly to consumers in their efforts to meet changing shopper needs.
