Traveling does not have to be a hassle for people with celiac disease because airlines, hotels and cruise ships are now offering gluten-free foods. The Mauna Kea Beach Hotel on Hawaii island lets guests e-mail or call in gluten-free requests, and its chefs are prepared to make menu items gluten-free by using alternative ingredients, while restaurants across the U.S. and in major foreign cities increasingly offer gluten-free menu items.
