The travel-agent industry maintains a healthy relationship with tour operators, but a number of issues still need to be addressed, several agents said. Agents would like to see an end to practices of undercutting agents by allowing large travel retail companies to offer discounted brochure rates or giving them larger commissions, agents Sandy Anderson and Michelle Duncan said. Tour operators should also improve communications with agents and offer help when clients run into problems during their trip, said Paul Seifert.
