Starbucks is expanding the rollout of its alcoholic beverage service from 26 current locations to thousands of stores over the next several years. Wine and beer sales are aimed at garnering nighttime business when coffee-drinking wanes, and it can double the average ticket, said CEO Howard Schultz. "We are in the early stages of our growth and development. If we're a 20-chapter book, we are only in chapter four or five," he said.
