A school in Atlanta is embracing field trips as an integral part of students' learning, a move that comes when many schools are eliminating the trips entirely because of limited funds. Educators are rethinking these out-of-the-classroom learning experiences "as a carnival of learning," school head Suzanna Jemsby said. "There will be chaos, and that belongs to experiential learning, and that is what we're looking for. We're looking for a hubbub of activity and student inquiry," she said.
