Campbell Soup Co. uses its Culinary Trendscape to help filter ideas that may lead to product innovation. One of the major food trends for 2014 is incorporating beverage-inspired flavors, such as coffee and wine, according to David Landers, senior chef for Campbell's Culinary & Baking Institute. "We [Campbell Soup Co.] have a roasted chicken and chardonnay Slow Kettle Soup. It's not a random white wine soup. We as a culture appreciate different varieties of white wine, and that appreciation is extending elsewhere," Landers said.
