New research from Oakland, Calif.'s Center for Environmental Health found that some plastic drinking cups labeled BPA-free may be more hazardous than those with BPA. BPA-free containers often contain other chemicals that appear more dangerous and are being tied to risks such as higher incident rates of cancer. "There's just an awful lot we don't know about the chemicals that are in products we use," said Center Research Director Caroline Cox.
