Cameras attached to various kinds of free-swimming sharks is giving researchers a unique view of the ocean predators' lives. Footage from cameras on 31 different sharks was presented recently at the 2014 Ocean Sciences Meeting in Hawaii. "I was really amazed by all the images we got back. It's mesmerizing to see that shark's-eye perspective of the shark interacting with the coral reef and the fishes," said University of Hawaii marine biologist Carl Meyer, who led the study.
